Each one inch width spins on its own core independently of the rest and travels to the cutter blade without interfering with the roll next to it allowing for either one roll the total width of the model selected, or the same number of single rolls as the total width. Hence a 3" wide unit takes one 3" roll or 3 rolls up to 1" each.
