It sounds crazy, but some shipping departments do not utilize enough tape dispensers.
I have been in shipping departments and watched packers stand in line waiting to get tape to seal a box. Even at minimum wage, the slow down in productivity and socialization will cost more in the long run than the dispenser. The packing and shipping area becomes a cluttered mess.
The cost of a dispenser is small when compared to the cost of paying employees to step over and around each other to gain a strip of tape. Spreading out your packers improves productivity and minimizes socialization.
Once you have enough machines, placement is vital.
