Always make sure machine is plugged into proper power supply to verify machine is energized and not malfunctioning due to lack of power. If machine is plugged in and power is not at the switch, check and/or replace the main fuse.

Note: Before attempting any adjustments of this machine, the power switch should be in the "off" position and the power cord disconnected to prevent electrical shock.

Problem Solution
Ribbon does not come out.  

Ribbon motor is not operating.

  1. Adjust LS-3 arm out so that both top (LS-2) and bottom (LS-3) switches activate in close unison.  (LS denotes limit switch)
  2. Replace defective time delay relay.
Ribbon is not tying securely around product.

Ribbon around product, but not twisted.

  1. Increase ribbon length.
  2. Check twister for damage.
  3. Unscrew twister and reinstall 180°
Above ribbon problem but not consistent.
  1. Clean ribbon drum of built up debris.
  2. Replace defective time delay relay.
Machine recycles constantly when product is inserted in the tying area. Replace defective control relay.
Ribbon feeds out constantly. Adjust LS-3 arm out so that both top (LS-2) and bottom (LS-3) switches activate in close unison.
No ribbon coming out when attempting to tie product.
  1. Adjust switch LS-1 to hear a click upon depressing LS-1.
  2. Adjust to LS-1 switch to hear a click upon hearing the cover close.
  3. Check fuse, replace if necessary.
Main drive motor runs constantly. Adjust L-1 trigger switch to hear a click upon releasing of this switch.
Ribbon is carried back with scissors.
  1. Remove ribbon from scissors.  Determine if safety device is working properly.
  2. Adjust cutter anvil guide.
No ribbon coming out but ribbon drive motor operates.
  1. Check if ribbon is threaded correctly.
  2. Check sprocket, tighten set screw.
Ribbon jams behind anvil.
  1. Clear ribbon path of debris.
  2. Confirm proper scissors adjustment.
  3. Confirm proper anvil position.
  4. Check tension spring, replace if necessary.
  5. Adjust LS-3 arm out so that both top (LS-2) and bottom (LS-3) switches activate in close unison.
