Kraft gummed reinforced paper tape is still the most secure method for closing cartons for shipment via small parcel carriers. If you consider the time it takes to dispense and place each piece of tape (labor) and the cost of each piece, water activated tape is a lot cheaper than multiple pieces of plastic tape.
