The 5UN3291 Top Heater Assembly is the factory-style, low-voltage heater used on the Better Packages BP755eS water-activated (gummed) tape dispenser. This heater warms the moistening zone so the brush tips deliver warmer water to the tape. Warm water helps the adhesive reactivate more consistently, which can improve bond strength and reduce weak seals.
If your tape is not sticking, the heater may not be the root cause. In many cases, the issue is dirty or worn moistening brushes. Brushes should be cleaned regularly with dishwashing detergent (avoid hand soaps that can contain oils), and replaced when bristles are worn. Worn brushes can cause water to bead up on the tape, leading to dry spots and uneven activation.
On BP755e series machines, the heater is accessed by lifting the keyboard console assembly and is adjusted using the heater control dial (OFF to HIGH). Heat setting depends on your environment. In climate-controlled areas, a moderate setting is often sufficient and can help extend heater life.
