6" Rewinder for the Bottle-Matic

The Bottle-Matic rewinder allows for easy upkeep of the label liner waste material. Keep your work area clean. The rewinder fits on all Dispensa-matic Bottle-matics.

How to Install a Rewinder

Rewinder Installation (For installing on existing Bottle-Matic or Flex+Matic in the field)

Remove rear motor housing (in order to remove Pressure Arm rod and do wiring) using a #2 Phillips
Remove “Pressure Arm” rod screw (inside motor housing) – 10/32 Allen Wrench
Break loose the 3 bottom screws on left side frame (no need to remove) – 3/16” Allen Wrench
Remove nut from “Feed Roller” on left side frame - 9/16” Wrench
Remove Pressure Arm rod and slip front Rewinder block onto Pressure Arm rod (long end up) – rear block will be on rewinder already
Screw Rewinder block to the Rewinder - (spindle to the left)
Install rear Rewinder rod
Tighten all screws and nuts
Remove the 2 wire nuts on rear motor
Take rewinder motor wires and match to the grey jumper wire (ribbed wire NO writing), match the ribbed wire to the ribbed motor wire and the writing wire to the writing motor wire. Put wire nuts back on.
Put motor housing back on.
When you install the take up spool use a credit card to measure the distance of the spool from the side frame of the rewinder, then tighten allen screw.
Follow “Rewinder” instructions.

Note for Flex+Matics ONLY! The rewinder will sit down & tilted back - relative to the Bottle-Matic - if you're installing on a Flex+Matic. Check the product pages I've just linked for pictures. You must install the forward contact point of the rewinder onto the top 3/8" chrome bar in the feeding mechanism. The silver bar is spring loaded, so we often slide a 3/8" rod in from the righthand side, keeping the spring in place, which allows one to slide on the bracket. Mock everything up first so that the bracket isn't put on backwards accidentally. If you don't have a 3/8" rod, find something of similar diameter, or even a screwdriver is better than nothing in a pinch. The spring will shoot straight out of the top of the block if the silver bar is removed. Not only can it be dangerous if a spring goes flying, it can be a challenge getting the bar back in.
