Product Type: Protein gelatin glue in cake form. Sold by the box. Each box weighs between 35–42 pounds, depending on solids content.
Applications: Ideal for use in gluing machinery for case making, print mounting, photo albums, and other bindery applications requiring high tack and strong adhesion to difficult materials.
Key Features:
Application Equipment: Suitable for manual or electric tabletop label gluers with heated glue trays. Heat glue to 140–150°F (60–66°C). Start with a 10–20% water dilution by weight and maintain performance by adding water at a rate of 1–3 drops per second. Highly compatible with Colonel Gluers and Captain-B-AG gluers with heaters.
FDA Status: Ingredients comply with FDA regulation 175.105 for food packaging adhesives. Also recognized as chemically acceptable by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for use with packaging materials that may contact meat or poultry products under federal inspection.
Storage Conditions: Store at room temperature and rotate inventory to use oldest stock first. Shelf life is 12 months. Although freeze-thaw stable, store in a location that avoids freezing conditions.
Note: All application recommendations are based on typical conditions. Final suitability testing is the responsibility of the user.
Safety Data Sheet (SDS): Please visit Gluefast's SDS page.

Cleanup Solvent: We recommend using warm water to clean gluing machinery. A waterless hand cleaner works best for removal of adhesive from the hands. Dispose of according to local and state regulations.
Animal glues are "rubbery" solid and require heat to melt for application. When using electric gluers you have to allow time for the gluer to heat up and liquify the adhesive before turning on the rollers.
The operator starts by adding 10-20% water dilution by weight of glue. We recommend continually adding water to the glue at a rate of 1-3 drops per second. The idea being if the glue appears to be getting too thick, add a little water to thin it. The AG-90 animal glue may be left in the gluer at the end of the day.
