Smart-Jet TS REACH Printhead
The Smart-Jet TS REACH from MSSC is a long-throw thermal inkjet printhead designed to handle coding applications where the surface is recessed, curved, or difficult to access. Paired with a Smart-Jet touchscreen controller (sold separately), it delivers high-resolution text, barcodes, dates, shift codes, logos, and other variable data directly onto both porous and non-porous materials. With an extended throw distance of up to 10 mm, it produces crisp, accurate prints even when the product surface curves away from the printhead.
Using fast-dry MEK-based inks, the TS REACH adheres to plastics, films, glass, coated cartons, and kraft corrugated surfaces. It offers print resolutions up to 600 dpi with typical line speeds up to 131 ft/min (40 m/min) at 300 dpi. Its cartridge-based TIJ design eliminates the downtime and maintenance requirements of continuous inkjet systems, making it a cost-effective solution for high-volume production lines.
