A very efficient method for applying glue to plain paper stock for label application. Print your own color labels and use a gluer as a low cost alternative to pressure sensitive labels. Get a better looking label than just a printed box.
You can also use the Captain B to glue multiple pieces of paper together for a thicker effect. This is called Sheet Duplexing. Click for details.
"Floating" guide rollers allow for thicker stock to pass through the gluer.
The Captain B Electric Label Gluer features include excellent glue control, large capacity removable glue tray, speed control, no exposed gears, and standard 115v motor.
Optional Captain B Pressure Bar Attachment for rigid or overstuffed stock. Fits all models and accepts material up to 1/2" thick.
The Captain B is also available as a "Strip" gluer. Save 50% on your adhesive volume if you do not need full coverage. Non-electric Air Motor models also available. Call or email for additional details.
1) Does the Captain B have a way to meter the amount of glue on the roller? Yes, by adjusting the two black knobs on the rear of the feeding table to move the scraper bar closer to the applicator roller for thinner glue or further away for thicker glue. Using the minimal amount of glue will increase the number of labels per gallon.
2) What is the speed control used for? Some people prefer the gluer to operate at a slower speed to allow more time to grab the glued label.
3) What is the best way to make low cost small point of sale (POS) displays? Display boards can be produced using full color laser printed posters and mounted (glued) on poster board. Print labels on plain or glossy paper and apply a full coat of adhesive with the Captain B gluer. Apply glued label to a poster or foam type board. Use a soft cloth to remove bubbles or take advantage of an Adjutant press. Use a paper cutter to trim excess board if needed.
4) Is there an alternative to a printed box? Yes, print full color labels on plain or glossy paper, apply glue with the Captain B gluer, use a soft cloth to remove bubbles.
