Ink Jet Printers
Solutions for dating and coding your products!
Need to add a use by, best by, expiration date, lot number or bar code to cans, bottles, labels, boxes or products and saving a few steps? Having an ink jet printer attached to a label or tape dispenser, conveyor, or band sealer saves a step in production by automatically coding as the product passes by.
Back in 1980, the precursor to MSSC, Marsh® Company, introduced the first non-contact drop-on-demand inkjet printer under the trade name UNICORN for the industrial market. MSSC proudly continues to offer this simple, out of the box, drop on demand ink jet printer as the QM7500 and now the ultra easy to use Smart-Jet high definition handheld and conveyor line printers. Check out the lower cost, but fully functional Smart-Jet® ONE Pro and Max solutions.
Consider all costs associated with an ink jet system. Ease of use, functionality, speed of changing messages, cost of unit, and even more important, availability and cost of ink cartridges. Two types of inks are available. Porous for paper and cardboard, or fast drying non-porous that also prints on metal, glass, and plastics. Non-porous cartridges are considered hazardous when shipping by air and incur additional handling charges by small package carriers.
