Fits BP555e series tape dispensers manufactured after 1999.
If your heater isn't working, this part could be your fix. There is also a thermostat in the heater that can go bad. For a full heater replacement, see part 123P-E555-007-01.
If you have multiple machines, plug another heater into the broken machine and the suspected broken heater into a working machine in an effort to establish whether it's just the heater or a bigger problem.
Temperature is limited to about 160 degrees Fahrenheit and uses low voltage.
Note: If your tape is not sticking the heater may not be the problem. Moistening brushes need to be cleaned every week or two with a dish soap like Dawn. Avoid hand soaps as many contain oils. The bristles on the brushes will scratch into the glues to reactivate the hardened dried glues and help the water penetrate into the glue. Worn brushes will cause the water to bead up on the tape and give dry spot with uneven moistening. Brushes should be replaced every 3-5 years depending upon usage.
