4" Gluefast Edge Gluer
Gluefast sold their first gluer back in 1939!
Their Edge Gluer is a hidden gem. Like the other smaller gluers, it uses a doctor blade to provide excellent glue control. An adjustable guide allows the operator to apply glue onto the edge of an item. Adjustment can be made to glue as little as 1/4" of the edge to 2" on our smaller #2 Edge Gluer, or 1/" up to 3.5" on the #4 Edge Gluer. Items as thin as paper or thicker chip board or card board can be glued neatly and quickly. Variable speed allows the operator to control the work as their needs change.
This gluer was originally a workhorse at corrugated plants, gluing short-to-medium runs of the glue lap on corrugated cartons. There are many other applications for gluing the edge of an item including sample swatches, calendar production, wraparound labeling like on paint cans, seed packets, box sealing and more!
The Gluefast Company, Inc manufactures the Standard Edge Gluer as well as the Top Side Edge Gluer (call for details), which are gluing machines designed for the straight line gluing and coating application of an adhesive along the edge of an item. Both machines have an open end (cantilevered), which allows the adhesive to coat the edge of the item to be glued. Built for heavy industrial use and trouble-free maintenance.
Features:
The Standard Edge Gluer from Gluefast glues the bottom edge of an item. The #4 model has the ability to glue up to 4” (~10 cm) of an edge of paper, chipboard, corrugated, or wood up to 5/8” (16 mm) thick. Achieve the precise amount of glue required for your adhesive application by adjusting the glue film thickness with the turn of a knob. The 120-volt motor comes standard with variable speed control, providing flexibility to work with small and/or short pieces to glue. In addition, there's an optional 220-volt motor available with alternative speed controls.
