To keep the blades cutting, make sure to keep the movable blade clean and lightly oiled. If you see any build-up of gummy material, remove with a window type scraper blade.
The cutter blades have a shearing action that is based on a small allen screw at the top middle of the blade. By turning the screw clockwise the allen screw causes the blade to bow thus creating a shearing action.
