Ideal for coding dates, shift codes, expiration dates on paper (porous) labels, this coder is an economical option.
The printer uses United RIBtype® Letter and Number Sets. Letters and numbers can be ordered to print either horizontal or vertical on the print wheel.
Note: The print is random on the wheel. To insure each label has at least one code printed, you may need to repeat your message on the wheel. For single print on each label, consider the TAL-750HD w/Hot Stamp Imprinter or the TAL-750 w/Registered Ink Imprinter.
The coder features a 1-1/8 inch x 9.1 inch print area. Recommended for character sizes of 5/8 inch and smaller.
To make type changes easy, the coder is equipped with quick change print drums. The print drum axle contains a stainless steel spring plunger which retains the print drum during printing, but also enables the print drum to be removed by pulling it off the axle without the use of tools. Additional print drums are available to facilitate off-line code changes without stopping production.
