The Better Packages E55504401 motor is a replacement motor used in select Better Packages water activated tape dispensers. This motor drives tape dispensing during normal operation.
If tape is not dispensing, inspect the motor brushes for wear first. If the brushes are in good condition, the motor may be at fault. A common diagnostic step is to isolate the motor and connect it directly to 115V to verify operation.
The motor provides the mechanical drive required to move tape through the dispenser during a dispense cycle. When operating correctly, it helps pull and advance tape to support consistent feed and output.
Verify compatibility: Match your dispenser model and existing motor configuration before ordering.
Note: If you motor has stopped working, check the motor brushes. Brushes are on the end of the motor on the top and bottom. If they are worn replace with ND105BXK. The plastic caps are part number ND105C. When installing new brushes, make sure the curve of the brush is going in the same direction as the curve on the motor shaft. When replacing the plastic brush caps make sure to use very little torque when tightening.
Confirm: Any required safety steps, wiring details, or additional components needed for testing or installation.
Service tip: If you are replacing motor brushes also check the moistening brushes (E555-132-01) and felt pad (SA10XXK) for wear.
