The Smart-Jet 85720 Black MEK Ink Cartridge is a solvent-based ink designed specifically to print on PVC and other plastic materials. It’s engineered for use with the Smart-Jet REACH printhead (TS & CORE) to produce crisp, high-contrast marks that bond tightly to flexible and rigid plastics. The formulation delivers rapid absorption, excellent scratch resistance, and outstanding chemical durability even on slick or coated surfaces. This 1/2-inch MEK cartridge provides extended throw distance (up to 10 mm), allowing the printer to mark on curved or recessed areas like pipe, cable jackets, or molded housings where standard inks cannot easily reach. It’s ideal for high-speed production lines needing fast dry times and permanent adhesion to plastic substrates.

Due to the hazardous nature of MEK solvent ink, this cartridge cannot ship by air (2nd Day or Next Day Air) from our Loganville, Georgia facility. Customers requiring air shipment must call our office by 1:00 PM EST to confirm same-day eligibility and arrange appropriate shipping from MSSC’s warehouse. Additional hazardous-material fees apply to all air shipments.
