GF#637P Glue
Product Type: A water-based dextrin glue.
Applications: This is a high-performance, water-based product developed for a variety of applications, particularly wet mounting of posters and large P.O.P display labels. It exhibits very good machining characteristics in roll coaters and it’s a lower cost version of the GF 637U.
*Features: Provides excellent layflat, non-wrinkle characteristics with good penetration into board stock. It is a slow drying adhesive. This slow speed of set enables the operator to reposition the label when it has already been placed onto the board stock. While it’s viscosity will increase over time it will still work well in our roll coater gluers.
Manual Application: This glue also be applied using a paint roller, however, care should be taken not to use too much adhesive that would result in considerable wrinkling. Apply an even, thin film to the entire bottom of the paper or poster board. Then, smooth with a squeegee like device from the center outwards to eliminate air bubbles. This glue allows you a long working time so repositioning the label or poster is possible for several minutes after gluing the materials.
Application Equipment: Manual and electric tabletop label gluers such as the LPR5.5, Captain B or Colonel gluers by Gluefast. Gluing equipment should be cleaned daily for best results. When applied with one of our label gluers you get a yield of about 600-700 square feet per gallon.
