Penetron is a wetting agent used to promote optimum glue reactivation on all gummed materials. Use wetting agents for envelopes, stamps, gummed tapes, and label stocks. Each bottle will convert 50 gallons of water into "super water" ready for adding into any tape dispenser, label dispenser, or mailing machine. Penetron helps the tape stick better.
Wetting agents work by lowering the surface tension of the water, and thereby increasing the spreading ability of the water. This helps in tape machines where water's capillary action is increased and can better reach the tips of the moistening brush. That same action then works on the adhesives of the tape ultimately giving better sticking power to your box.
Penetron® Ready-to-Use Liquid can be added directly into water systems of equipment that use water to activate adhesives.
This product enhances the performance of water activated adhesives where hard water is used. Penetron® products also help to dissolve hard water buildups. Available in 4 gallon cases as well. (Best application found in mail rooms for postage machines.)
It is always recommended by all manufacturers to clean the moistening brushes or rollers to remove old glue build-up on a regular basis. Gummed tape dispensers should be cleaned every other week, label moisteners once a month for best results. Penetron should not be solely relied upon to clean and remove build-up.
