These #1150 inks will not properly dry on metal, plastic or other non-porous surfaces at normal room temperatures.
Ink rollers are adjustable on how 'hard' it rolls against the rubber type. Over time the roller will need to be adjusted for print quality, and replaced when worn.
Important! Read these directions carefully before attempting to ink rolls.
Fill a container with coder ink to a level deep enough to completely submerge the roll. (Using a cut up plastic 2 liter bottle works great). Carefully place the roll into the container of ink. DO NOT ROTATE THE ROLL TO COAT THE ENTIRE SURFACE. Let the roll soak until it is completely submerged. It is very important that you do not rotate the roll once you have placed it in the ink container. If the surface of the roll is completely covered, it will not allow the air to escape out of the top surfaces and therefore proper inking will not be obtained.
Universal Conveyor Line Printers are shipped from the factory fully assembled and, unless otherwise specified, include a dry Microcell Ink Roll. The ink roll must be manually pre-inked prior to use. Dry ink rolls cannot be properly inked using only the 4 Oz. Reservoir Ink Cartridges. The initial inking of any dry roll is a critical process. The following instructions will guide you through the inking and installation process and have your coder ready to use in a few minutes.
Inks will stain clothing, furniture, carpeting and your hands. Rubber gloves should be worn during the following procedures.
